Pronoia Collective
The Libra Project explores the tensions where public debate has split into separate camps.
Anti-gun advocates and anti-abortion advocates, for example, may stand in different rallies, hold different signs, and vote for different candidates — and yet both stand firm in a position of valuing life. On one side of the scale is the fear that a child will not be born; on the other is the fear that a child won't make it home from school.
Both sides weigh the same.
We are less interested in who is "right" than in honoring what is sacred to each side. Our installations ask viewers to find balance at the core of today's most divisive debates. After all, these feelings are both equally grounded in human love.
